It was a genuine privilege to meet David, though sadly it was through his illness that gave me the opportunity to do so. Even during his 'bad' days he was able to make a joke and enjoy a conversation. I'll never forget the sheer determination he had trying to make it into the lounge one evening, so he could spend some time with Tracy playing board games. It was a sincere pleasure to care for David.
